Annual Conference & Symposia Highlights

New SFT/ACT Officers Installed for 2010/2011

New officers took their positions for both the Society for Theriogenology (SFT)and the American College of Theriogenologists (ACT) during the 2010 Therio Conference and Symposia held in Seattle, Washington, August 31-September 5. (more)

New 2010 Diplomates Welcomed

The American College of Theriogenologists (ACT) welcomed 11 new diplomates following successful completion of the annual certification examination. The recognition took place during the annual business meeting of the ACT on Wednesday, September 1, 2010. The new diplomates are Drs. Ghislaine Dujovne, Auburn, Ala.; Ryan Ferris, Fort Collins, Colo.; Heath King, Crawford, Miss.; Cindy Maenhoudt, Keerbergen, Belgium; Hernan Montilla, Corvallis, Ore.; Cynthia O’Connor, Plymouth, Mass.; Swanand Sathe, Urbana, Ill.; Simon Robinson, Congupna, Victoria, Australia; Jacobo Rodriguez, Palouse, Wash; Valeria Tanco, Calgary, AB, Canada; and Semira Mancill, Weatherford, Texas.

Dr. Root Kustritz honored as Therio of the Year


Dr. Margaret Root Kustritz is congratulated by Dr. Reed Holyoak

Dr. Margaret Root Kustritz of St. Paul, MN was presented with the Theriogenologists of the Year award, sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim Vetmedica Inc., at the annual Therio Awards Dinner on September 2, 2010. Dr. Root Kustritz gave a truly unforgettable acceptance speech in which she incorporated her singing talent to help tell her message. To conclude her speech she challenged everyone in attendance to consider the one sentence that they would like to describe the summary of their lives.
